Anna Roberts is a Manchester based conceptual photographer who specialises in bespoke book cover design.
Blending her photographic skills and experience with her passion for self-portraiture, Anna lovingly crafts a visual body to represent the soul of each novel.
Anna is closely involved from the conceptual design through to photo shoot and editing stages. She also builds a tailored photographic scene by using props, models and scouting for the perfect location.
Passionately working on her photographic style from an early age, she particularly focuses her energy on creating unique and avant-garde self-portraiture pieces. Her love for vintage styling can be seen throughout her work as well as the idea of the changing self, visual moods, her subtle notes of darker character and exploration of fantasy realms.
Graduating from her Leeds City College Photography Degree in 2012, she has since built up a wealth of creative experience and photographic output, which has seen her exhibit her pieces at 52 Frames in London, the Leeds Gallery, and the NHS Leeds Love Arts exhibition.
Anna is also very involved in the online photography community and has been an active participant in the 365 Days Project on Flickr, who featured her work and where she first explored the idea of translating her photography into book cover design, after she was commissioned for the novel, Tales of Twilight and the Unseen by Arthur Conan Doyle. Getty Images also scouted her pictures, which were licensed and featured in the Flickr collection program.
